"Between midnight and dawn thieves come out." The words made my heart beat louder. Gulping, I flattened myself against the trunk of the oak tree. Was he standing there, looking hard, and staring straight at me? Thankfully, there was no moon out. I could not see my hand in front of my face -- never mind Big Jimmy. Did Jimmy make it out and leave me behind?
